Morgentau (Aus einem alten Liederbuche)
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): CAT ENG FRE ITA
Der Frühhauch hat gefächelt
Hinweg die schwüle Nacht,
Die Flur holdselig lächelt
In ihrer Lenzespracht;
Mild singt vom dunkeln Baume
Ein Vöglein in der Früh,
Es singt noch halb in Traume
Gar süße Melodie.
Die Rosenknospe hebet
Empor ihr Köpfchen bang,
Denn wundersam durchbebet
Hat sie der süße Sang;
Und mehr und mehr enthüllet
Sich ihrer Blätter Füll',
Und eine Träne quillet
Hervor so heimlich still.

Rosada del matí (D'un antic llibre de cançons)
Language: Catalan (Català)  after the German (Deutsch)
L’hàlit del matí ha ventat
enllà la nit xafogosa,
els camps somriuen encisadors
en llur esplendor primaveral;
des de l’arbre ombrívol canta
dolçament un ocellet de bon matí,
encara mig en somnis canta
una melodia tan dolça.
La poncella de la rosa aixeca
tímidament el seu caparró,
car l’ha meravellosament agitat
el dolç cant;
i més i més es desplega
l’esplet dels seus pètals,
i es vessa una llàgrima
tan furtiva i silent.
