Ich gehe fremd durch die Menge hin,
Den irdischen Lauten entrückt,
Ich trage heimlich ein weißes Kleid,
Mit bräutlichen Zweigen geschmückt.
Es ist ein Singen und Blühn in mir,
Als trüg' ich den Lenz in der Brust --
Und liegt doch zitternd ein blasser Flor
Von Thränen über der Lust.

secretament porto un vestit blanc
ornat amb rams de núvia.
En mi hi ha cants i flors
com si portés la primavera al meu pit –
i tanmateix, tremolant,
