Laß die Schmerzen dieser Erde Mich in ein Meer von Wonne tauchen; Paradieses Lust mir werde Aus dem Himmel deiner Augen; Ew'gen Frühlings Blüthen Auen Eröffnet mir dein reiches Herz. Dir will ich all' mein Heil vertrauen: Auf ewig dein in Lust und Schmerz! Laß die Welt vorüber rauschen, Im Sturm die hohen Fluthen schwellen; Wenn wir Seel' um Seele tauschen, Wird sich uns die Nacht erhellen. Mag in drohenden Gewittern Der Himmel glüh'n in Flammenschein; In deinen Armen, ohne Zittern, Will ewig ich begraben sein.
Confirmed with Meine Lieder. Den Freuden aufgezeichnet, Berlin: Verlag der Königlichen Geheimen Ober-Hofbuchdruckerei (R. Decker), 1861, page 278. Author is indicated as "Unbekannt" (unknown). Julius Stern's 1860 score indicates the poet as Rückert but we haven't been able to find this poem in his online volumes. It's possible that he meant "Eckert", as Eckert also set this poem to music.
