Ins Freie
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  CAT DUT ENG
Mir ist's so eng allüberall!
Es schlägt das Herz mit lautem Schall,
Und was da schallt, sind Lieder!
Aus düstrer Mauern bangem Ring
Flieg' ich ins Weite froh und flink:
Da atm' ich Wonne wieder!

Da flattert aus der offnen Brust
Die Sehnsucht nach verrauschter Lust
Und nach gehoffter Wonne:
Die Winde tragen's himmelan,
Die Gräslein geben Fürbitt' dran,
Sich neigend in der Sonne.

Mir ist's so eng allüberall!
Es schlägt das Herz mit lautem Schall,
Und was da schallt, sind Lieder!
Aus düstrer Mauern bangem Ring
Flieg' ich ins Weite froh und flink:
Da atm' ich Wonne wieder,
Da atm' ich Wonne wieder;
Es schlägt das Herz mit lautem Schall,
Und was da schallt, sind Lieder!

Naar buiten
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)  after the German (Deutsch)
'k Voel mij beklemd, ja, overal!
Mijn hart is vol van luid geschal,
In lied'ren zich ontladend!
Uit duist're engte, dreigend, grauw,
Vlieg ik naar buiten, blij en gauw:
Daar vind ik vreugd, heraad'mend!

Daar vlindert uit bevrijde borst
Naar vroeg're lust weer diepe dorst,
Naar vreugd, verhoopt en stijgend:
De winden dragen 't hemelwaarts,
De grasjes wuiven 't buitenaards,
Zacht in het zonlicht nijgend.

'k Voel mij beklemd, ja, overal!
Mijn hart is vol van luid geschal,
In lied'ren zich ontladend!
Uit duist're engte, dreigend, grauw,
Vlieg ik naar buiten, blij en gauw:
Daar vind ik vreugd, heraad'mend!
Daar vind ik vreugd, heraad'mend!
Mijn hart is vol van luid geschal,
In lied'ren zich ontladend!
