O, wärst Du bei mir,

Und sähst, wie herrlich
Die sonn'gen Höh'n,
Und hörtest singen
Die Vögelein:
Du stimmtest freudig
In's Lied mit ein!

Dann schaut' ich froher
Auf Strom und Feld,

Dann jauchzt ich trunken
