Bien maquillés, pomponnés et truqués,
onduleux, la lèvre aguichante,
les adolescents que je chante
ne sont pas tous sophistiqués.
L'un d'eux se moquant du scandale
sur le boul'vard de Clichy
"tapinait" de Blanche à Pigalle
et ne faisait aucun chichi . . .

Jésus la Caille est un garçon
qu'on prend souvent pour une fille
qu'on prend souvent pour une fille.
On dit de lui: Qu'elle est gentille!
Qu'il a du charme à sa façon!
Filles, garçons vont bien ensemble
ce qui manque à l'un, l'autre l'a.
Que vous en semble? Tra la la.
Tra la la la la la la.

Il fut pourtant victime d'un béguin
qu'il avait inspiré sans peine
à la péripaticienne
la plus "régulière" du coin.
La dame l'aimant d'amour tendre,
la Caille se laissait aimer
oyez-le comme il faut l'entendre:
ces amours ne durent jamais.

La dame avait son "jésus" dans la peau
mais elle avait aussi son homme
qui, certain soir, lui montra comme
on peut se servir d'un couteau.
Plus agile que l'antilope,
la Caille à défaut d'métier,
changea cependant de quartier
il s'explique à la rue de Lope . . . 

Jésus la Caille est un garçon
qu'on prend souvent pour une fille
qu'on prend souvent pour une fille.
On dit de lui: Qu'elle est gentille!
Qu'il a du charme à sa façon!
