Du schönes Fischermädchen, Treibe den Kahn an's Land; Komm zu [mir und setze]1 dich nieder, Wir kosen Hand in Hand. Leg' an mein Herz dein Köpfchen, Und fürchte dich nicht [zu]2 sehr, [Vertrau'st du dich]3 doch [sorglos]4 Täglich dem wilden Meer. Adler und Geier gebet mir Flügel! Welt ward zur Wüste: Trauer und Trümmer! Möchte in Höhen, Horsten mit Euch, oder auf Wolken wandern dahin. Welt ward zum Grab mir, dunkel und trübe. Scharet euch um mich, Adler und Geier! Hebet die Seele auf euern Flügeln hoch in der Himmel heiliges Traumland! Dort mit den Geistern und den Gestirnen möcht ich zum Höchsten beten mit euch. Ach, aus dem Tale der Trauer und Tränen, nehmet mich mit euch, Adler und Geier!
