Dass es draussen Frühling ist.

Träume sanft von Engelein, 
Die dich singend schlummern ein,
Halten an der Wiege Wacht,
Flüstern leise gute Nacht.

Sterne schau'n in's Kämmerlein,
Blüthen düften süss herein.
Mög' im lieben Herzelein
Immer heit'rer Frühling sein!

auf seiner stillen Wacht!

Der Zeichen tief empfund'ner Sinn,
Wir können ihn versteh'n,
Und meine Nähe fühlest du,
Das weiss ich, ungeseh'n!
