Posaune ruft, mein Mund verstummt,
and aufersteht, was ihr begraben.

Hinauf, hinauf sehnt sich mein Klang!
Hinauf, hinauf schwingt sich der Glocke Herr,
durch Schlag and Schlag befreit vom Erz!
Du Menschenseele, zitternd unter Schlägen,
ich nehm' dich mit auf Adlerswegen hinauf!
Ehre sei Gott in der Höhe!

pasuuna soi kutsuen, suuni vaikenee,
ja mitä olette haudanneet, nousee ylös.

Ylös, ylös kaipaa minun soittoni!
Ylös, ylös kohoaa kellon henki
vapautuen lyönti lyönniltä malmin kahleista!
Sinä ihmissielu, joka vapiset lyönnit kuullessasi,
minä vien sinut ylös kuin kotkan siivillä!
Kunnia Jumalalle korkeuksissa!
