Dutch (Nederlands) translations of Drei Lieder, opus 33

by Wenzel Theodor Bradsky (1833 - 1881)

1. Ich wandre fort in's ferne Land   [sung text not yet checked]
by Wenzel Theodor Bradsky (1833 - 1881), "Ich wandre fort in's ferne Land ", op. 33 (Drei Lieder) no. 1, published 1870 [ voice and piano ], Berlin, Trautwein

Text Authorship:

  • by Nikolaus Lenau (1802 - 1850), "An den Wind", appears in Gedichte, in 4. Viertes Buch, in Liebesklänge

Confirmed with Gedichte von Nicolaus Lenau, Stuttgart, Verlag der J. G. Cotta'schen Buchhandlung, 1877, pages 187-188. Note for stanza 2, line 2, word 4: in Mendelssohn's score and in some editions of Lenau, there is a misprint of "meinem".

1 Mendelssohn: "in fernes"

by Nikolaus Lenau (1802 - 1850)
1.

Maar ’t liefste woord, dat hoord’ ik niet;
Dat heeft de harde wind verstoord.

Dat ‘k mijn geluk verlaten moet,
Gemene koude wind, jij spook,

3. Hoe onwaarschijnlijk mooi is mei
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)
 Hoe onwaarschijnlijk mooi is mei
 Als alle vogels zingen
 Seringen openspringen
 En meisjes staan te dringen.

 Hoe onwaarschijnlijk mooi is mei
 Tenzij je lievelingen
Op één na staan te springen
Een die zich niet laat dwingen.
