In den Talen der Provence
Ist der Minnesang entsprossen,
Kind des Frühlings und der Minne,
Holder, inniger Genossen.
Blütenglanz und süße Stimme
Konnt' an ihm den Vater zeigen,
Herzensglut und tiefes Schmachten
War ihm von der Mutter eigen.
Selige Provencetale,
Üppig blühend wart ihr immer,
Aber eure reichste Blüte
Ist des Minneliedes Schimmer.
Jene tapfern, schmucken Ritter,
Welch ein edler Sängerorden!
Jene hochbeglückte Damen,
Wie sie schön gefeiert worden!

A les valls de la Provença
va néixer el cant dels trobadors,
fill de la primavera i de l’amor,
encisadors i íntims companys.
L’esplendor de les flors i la dolça veu
mostren el ell el pare,
el cor ardent i el deler
li vénen de la mare.
Benaurades valls de Provença,
sempre heu florit ufanosament,
però la vostra flor més preuada
és l’esclat del cant dels trobadors.
Aquells intrèpids, ben plantats cavallers,
quin orde de nobles cantaires!
Aquelles dames tan afortunades,
i tant esplèndidament afalagades!
