Liebchen! Himmel auf.

Next to the purest flame of love Glows the poor roof of the little hut: My love! now we are going to be together for ever! My love! dreaming or awake! Sweet, tender embracing When day begins to streak the sky; Secret pounding desire When evening descends! Bliss there on all the hills, Bliss in the valley, and rejoicing here! Full of freedom to lock Our little hut's door! Songs of praise in the darkness, Where no envious person is hiding, Where no longer, while we are kissing, Will each little breeze terrify us! And we shall share all joys, The glow of the sun, moon and stars; All the blessings, all the pains, Work and prayer, and dancing. So, next to the pure flame of love The beautiful course will come to an end; We shall float peacefully together, My love, up towards heaven.
