Es bebten und flüsterten ringsum die Bäume,

So lieblich umstrahlte des Mondlichts Gefunkel
Dein bleiches Gesicht und Dein lockiges Dunkel,
In jener Minute der Lieb' und des Scheidens
Erlebten wir viel wie des Glücks so des Leidens.
