Abschied
 (Sung text for setting by F. Schubert)
 See original
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  CAT DUT ENG FIN FRE GRE ITA KOR LIT NOR SPA
Ade, Du muntre, Du fröhliche Stadt, Ade!
Schon scharret mein Rösslein mit lustigem Fuß;
Ade, Du muntre, Du fröhliche Stadt, Ade!

Ade, Ihr Bäume, Ihr Gärten so grün, Ade!
Nun reit' ich am silbernen Strome entlang,
Weit schallend ertönet mein Abschiedsgesang;
Ade, Ihr Bäume, Ihr Gärten so grün, Ade!

Ade, Ihr freundlichen Mägdlein dort, Ade!
Was schaut Ihr aus blumenumduftetem Haus

Wie bin ich Euch Sternlein am Himmel so hold;

Ade, Du schimmerndes Fensterlein hell, Ade!
Ade, Du schimmerndes Fensterlein hell, Ade!

Ade, Ihr Sterne, verhüllet Euch grau! - Ade!
Des Fensterlein trübes verschimmerndes Licht
Ersetzt Ihr unzähligen Sterne mir nicht;
- Ade!

Note: in Schubert's autograph, line 3 begins "Jetzt nimm ich den letzten", but in printed editions except Neue Gesamtausgabe, it is "Jetzt nimm noch den".

Commiato
 (Sung text translation for setting by F. Schubert)
 See original
Language: Italian (Italiano)  after the German (Deutsch)
Addio, città vivace e gaia, addio!
Già scalpita il mio cavallino con la zampa allegra;

lontana risuona l'eco del mio canto d'addio;

Addio, fanciulle amabili, addio!
coi vostri sguardi maliziosi e seducenti?
Come al solito, io saluto e mi guardo intorno,
ma non girerò il mio cavallino.

Addio, caro sole, tu vai a riposare, addio!
Ora brilla l'oro delle stelle scintimlanti,
come vi amo, stelline del cielo;

Addio, finestrella illuminata, addio!
Brilli così accogliente con luce di crepuscolo,
e ci inviti gentile nella capanna.
Ah, vi passai vicino cavalcando tante volte,
e oggi sarebbe l'ultima volta.
