Wie einsam ist's noch auf der Welt!
Die Wälder nur sich leise neigen,
Als ging' der Herr durchs stille Feld.

Ich fühl mich recht wie neu geschaffen,
Wo ist die Sorge nun und Not?
Was mich noch gestern wollt' erschlaffen,
Ich schäm' mich dess im Morgenrot.

Die Welt mit ihrem Gram und Glücke
Will ich, ein Pilger, frohbereit
Betreten nur wie eine Brücke
Zu dir, Herr, übern Strom der Zeit.
