Herzallerliebste mein!
Ich hör ein süß Getöne
von kleinen Waldvöglein;
die hör ich so lieblich singen,
ich mein, ich säh des Tages Schein
vom Orient her dringen.

Ich hör die Hahnen krähen
und spür den Tag dabei,
die kühlen Windlein wehen
die Sternlein leuchten frei.
Singt uns Frau Nachtigalle,
singt uns ein süße Melodei,
sie meldt den Tag mit Schalle.

Gott grüß mir dein rot Munde,

la meva estimada del cor!
Sento una dolça tonada
dels ocellets del bosc;
els sento cantar tan gràcilment,
que em sembla veure la llum del dia
penetrar fins aquí des del llevant.

Sento cantar els galls
i percebo que s’apropa el dia,
bufa la fresca brisa,
lliures, brillen les estrelles.
El senyor rossinyol ens canta,
ens canta una dolça melodia,
amb aquest so, anuncia el nou dia.
