Our translations:  CAT ENG ENG FIN FRE
Langsam wird mein Kindchen müde,
  leise kommt die Nacht;
  stille Wolken gehn am Himmel,
  und der Mond ist aufgewacht.

Schaut mit seinen klaren Blicken
  in des Kindes Kämmerlein,
  streichelt es mit sanften Händen
  in den schönsten Traum hinein.

Evening Song
(Sung text translation for setting by M. Reger)
 See original
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
Slowly my child gets tired,
softly in comes night.
Quiet clouds cross the sky
and the moon has woken up.

The moon looks directly
into the child's little room,
strokes him with a soft hand
and leads him into the loveliest of dreams.
