Abendlied
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  CAT ENG ENG FIN FRE
Langsam wird mein Kindchen müde,
  leise [kommt herbei]1 die Nacht;
  stille Wolken gehn am Himmel,
  und der Mond ist aufgewacht.

Schaut mit seinen klaren Blicken
  in des Kindes Kämmerlein,
  streichelt es mit sanften Händen
  in den schönsten Traum hinein.

Iltalaulu
Language: Finnish (Suomi)  after the German (Deutsch)
Pikku hiljaa lapsoseni väsyy,
yö hiipii varovasti sisään;
rauhallisesti vaeltavat pilvet taivaalla,
ja kuu on herännyt.

Se kurkistaa kirkkaalla katseellaan
pienoiseni kamariin,
hyväilee hellillä käsillään
hänet suloisten unien helmaan.
