Note for stanza 1, line 2: in Rheinberger's setting, the first time this line is sung, word 5 is "zieht" instead of "fliegt", but the word reverts to the original in the repetition.

Hoy en sueños los he vuelto a ver y de todas las montañas me han llegado tales recuerdos que he roto a llorar. ¡Ay, aquí en las cumbres extranjeras gentes, fuentes, roca y árbol… todo es como un sueño para mí! ¡Alegre pájaro de las copas de los árboles, vosotros, compañeros allá en el valle, desde estas cumbres extranjeras mandad mil saludos a mi tierra!
