et bramo di perir, et cheggio aita;
et ò in odio me stesso, et amo altrui.

Note: this is singable only for Rheinberger's music. The translator (Rheinberger's wife) translated the last stanza quite freely; instead of always repeating the translated German when the composer repeated something in the Italian original, she occasionally inserted some new German text.
