Tau perlt und blitzt im Morgenlichte, fällt unter unsern Schritten ab, wir hören froh die Amseln singen ihr Lied. Uns ist der Frühling nun gekommen, aller Liebenden holde Zeit; der Vogel, seidigen Gefieders, vom hohen Nest singt seine Weis’. Wir finden dort im weichen Moose unserer Liebe Seligkeit - ach, sag mir sanft, dass du für immer bist mein. Weit, sehr weit gehn wir ab vom Pfade, schrecken den Hasen auf im Versteck, und den Hirsch, der im Spiegel der Quelle stolz sein mächtig Geweih erblickt; dann kehr’n wir heim, beglückt und heiter, Hand in Hand und die Körbe voll mit roten und sü.en Beeren vom Wald.
