el meu cor batega fortament angoixat;
el fum negre davalla cap al fons sense parar
per eixugar les llàgrimes de les meves galtes.

Però les meves llàgrimes no s'assequen,
s'han de plànyer en altres llocs!
Qui encara pot cantar en el sofriment,
viurà, el seu cant no morirà!
