Fjärilposten
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Our translations:  FRE
I det öppna lusthusfönstret
Satt en sommarmorgon flickan;
Men från blommorna i nejden
Kom en guldbevingad fjäril
Och på flickans lock sig satte.
Genast slöt hon fönstret, fasttog
Och försökte tämja fjäriln:
"Flyg ej bort, du sköna fånge,
Gläds åt kyssen, njut af smeket,
Och blif stilla qvar på handen."
Fåfängt! Hvarje gång han släpptes,
Flög han fladdrande på rutan.
Ändtligt, rörd af fjärilns oro,
Öppnade den sköna fönstret:
"Flyg då, otacksamme, flyg då
Med ett bud till dina likar:
Bjud dem ej så gerna komma,
Då de aldrig dröja gerna."

Message au papillon
Language: French (Français)  after the Swedish (Svenska)
Une fille était assise un matin d'été
à la fenêtre ouverte de la gloriette ;
venant des fleurs alentours
arriva un papillon aux ailes jaunes
qui se posa sur les boucles de la fille.
Elle ferma aussitôt sa fenêtre
et essaya d'apprivoiser le papillon :
« Ne t'envole pas, beau prisonnier,
jouis du baiser, savoure la caresse,
et reste tranquille sur ma main. »
Inutile ! Chaque fois qu'il s'échappait
il voltigeait jusqu'à la vitre.
Finalement, touchée par l'émoi du papillon,
la belle ouvrit la fenêtre :
« Envole-toi donc, ingrat, envole-toi,
avec un message pour tes pareils :
ne les invite pas à venir ici
s'ils n'ont pas l'intention de s'attarder. »
