Der verzweifelte Liebhaber
Language: German (Deutsch)

Studieren will nichts bringen,
mein Rock hält keinen Stich,
meine Zither will nicht klingen,
mein Schatz, der mag mich nicht.

Ich wollt', im Grün spazierte
die allerschönste Frau,
ich wär' ein Drach' und führte
sie mit mir fort durchs Blau.

Ich wollt', ich jagt' gerüstet
und legt' die Lanze aus,
und jagte alle Philister
zur schönen Welt hinaus.

Ich wollt', ich läg' jetztunder
im Himmel still und weit
und fragt' nach all' dem Plunder
nichts vor Zufriedenheit.

L'amant desesperat
Language: Catalan (Català)  after the German (Deutsch)
Estudiar no serveix per a res,
la meva jaqueta és plena de costures,
la meva cítara ja no sona,
la meva noia ja no m'estima.

Jo voldria que la dona més bella
passegés pel camp
i jo fos un drac i me l'emportés
lluny per l'atzur.

Jo voldria anar de cacera armat
i brandant la llança,
fer fora tots els filisteus
d'aquest meravellós món.

Jo voldria ara poder jeure
sota un cel vast i serè
i demanar de tota aquesta embrolla
tan sols la meva satisfacció.
