Počti rebënkom ja byla, Vse ljubovalis' mnoj; Mne šli i kudri po plečam, I fartuček cvetnoj. Ljubila mat' smotret', kak ja Molilas' poutru, Ljubila slušat', esli ja Pevala vvečeru. Čužoj odnaždy posetil Naš tichij ugolok; On byl tak nežen i umen, Tak stroen i vysok. On často v oči mne gljadel I ticho ruku žal I tajno glaz moj goluboj I kudri celoval. I, pomnju, stalo mne vokrug Pri nem vsë tak svetlo, I stalo mutno v golove I na serdce teplo. Leteli dni… promčalsja god… Nastal poslednij čas — Emu šepnula čto-to mat', I on ostavil nas. I dolgo-dolgo mne prišlos' I plakat', i grustit', No ja bojalasja o nem Kogo-nibud' sprosit'. Odnaždy vižu: milyj gost', Pripav k ustam moim, Mne govorit: «Ne bojsja, drug, JA dlja drugich nezrim». I s ėtich por — on snova moj, V ob"jatijach moich, I strastno, krepko on menja Celuet pri drugich. Vse govorjat, čto jarkij svet Lanit moich — bol'noj. Im ne uznat', kak žarko ich Celuet milyj moj!
