Es tanzen Mond und Sterne
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): CAT DUT ENG FRE ITA SPA
Es tanzen Mond und Sterne
Den flücht'gen Geisterreih'n:
Wer wird von Erdensorgen
Befangen immer seyn!
Du kannst in Mondesstrahlen
Nun, meine Barke, wallen;
Und aller Schranken los,
Wiegt dich des Meeres Schooß.
Vom Markusthurme tönte
Der Spruch der Mitternacht:
Sie schlummern friedlich Alle,
Und nur der Schiffer wacht.

Danzano luna e stelle
Language: Italian (Italiano)  after the German (Deutsch)
Danzano luna e stelle
sulle schiere di fantasmi in fuga:
chi mai potrà essere per sempre
prigioniero dei terreni travagli!
Tu puoi nel raggio lunare
ora ondeggiare, barchetta mia;
e sciolta da ogni legame
ti culla il grembo del mare.
Il campanile di San Marco ha battuto
il suono della mezzanotte:
tutti loro si addormentano in pace,
e solo veglia il nocchiero.
