Einem süßen, hoffnungslosen.

Kalm en treurig van de bomen;
Nooit het blijven hopen zat,
Leeft het hart in lentedromen.
 
Nog breekt zacht het zonlicht stuk
Op de late hagerozen;
Zoals bij een laatst geluk:
Dromen zoet, maar hopeloze.
