Verhängnis
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  FRE
Am Himmel ist kein Weg
Zu wandeln für die Sterne,
Es überbrückt kein Steg
Die grenzenlose Ferne.

Gewaltig hingebannt
In ihre ew'gen Kreise,
Des Zieles unbekannt,
Vollenden sie die Reise.

So hat mich das Geschick
Die dunkle Bahn getrieben,
Ich frage nicht nach Glück,
Ich bin und muß dich lieben.

Confirmed with Gedichte von Ricarda Huch, zweite vermehrte Auflage, Leizig, H. Haeffel Verlag, 1908, page 53.

Destinée
Language: French (Français)  after the German (Deutsch)
Il n'y a pas de sentier au ciel
Où les étoiles peuvent se promener,
Il n'y a pas de passerelle pour enjamber
Les lointains sans frontière.

Une puissante force magique
Enferme leur course éternelle,
Ignorantes du but,
Elles accomplissent leur voyage.

Le destin m'a pareillement
Poussée sur un sombre chemin,
Je ne cherche pas le bonheur,
J'existe et dois t'aimer.
