Večor, ty pomniš', v'juga zlilas', Na mutnom nebe mgla nosilas'; Luna, kak blednoe pjatno, Skvoz' tuči mračnye želtela, I ty pečal'naja sidela - A nynče... pogljadi v okno: Pod golubymi nebesami Velikolepnymi kovrami, Blestja na solnce, sneg ležit; Prozračnyj les odin černeet, I el' skvoz' inej zeleneet, I rečka podo l'dom blestit. Vsja komnata jantarnym bleskom Ozarena. Veselym treskom Treščit zatoplennaja peč'. Prijatno dumat' u ležanki. No znaeš': ne velet' li v sanki Kobylku buruju zapreč'? Skol'zja po utrennemu snegu, Drug milyj, predadimsja begu Neterpelivogo konja I navestim polja pustye, Lesa, nedavno stol' gustye, I bereg, milyj dlja menja.
