Час свиданья, час отрадный
Нам ночь душистая несёт.

Вдали напев знакомый льётся,
Вот белеет парус на волнах,
Певец плывет, певец несётся
С мандолиною в руках.

Лодка мчится с тихим плеском,
Струйки шепчут в тишине,
И алмазным светит блеском
Даль речная при луне.

Ближе, ближе песнь слышна,
Ждать не стало силы...
Вот он, вот он у окна, 
Ненаглядный, милый.

О мой милый ненаглядный,
Плыви скорее...
И с балкона наклоняясь,
И прекрасна, и бледна,
При луне к нему ласкаясь,
Страстной нежности полна,
Обняла его она.

И льются с неба света волны,
Звучит, как прежде, шепот струй;
Замолкла песнь, уста безмолвны,
Как вздох, пронесся поцелуй...

L'heure de se revoir, l'heure heureuse
Nous est apportée par la nuit parfumée.

Au loin la mélodie familière s'écoule,
Voici une voile blanche sur les vagues,
Le chanteur flotte, le chanteur va à toute vitesse,
Avec une mandoline dans ses mains.

Le bateau court avec un clapotis silencieux,
Les filets d'eau murmurent en silence,
Et avec des éclats de diamant brille
L'espace fluvial au clair de lune.

Plus près, plus près, on entend la chanson,
L'attente devient insupportable...
Le voici, le voici à la fenêtre,
Le bien-aimé, mon chéri.

Oh, mon chéri, mon bien-aimé,
Fais voile plus vite...
Et penchée sur le balcon,
Et belle, et pâle,
Dans le clair de lune le caressant
