Звучит, как прежде, шепот струй;

Bolero
Language: English  after the Russian (Русский)
Oh, my darling, beloved,
sail quickly: love does not wait!
The fragrant night is bringing us
the hour of tryst, the pleasant hour.

In the distance the familiar tune flows,
behold, a sail shows white upon the waves,
The singer drifts, the singer floats
with a mandolin in his hands.

The boat is racing with a quiet splash,
the trickles whisper in silence,
and with diamond-brilliance shines
the fluvial distance in the moonlight.

Closer, closer the song is heard,
it became beyond strength to wait...
there he is, there he is at the window,
the beloved, darling.

Oh, my dear beloved,
sail more quickly...
And, leaning from the balcony,
she, both beautiful and pale,
while caressing him in the moonlight,
full of passionate tenderness,
embraced him.

And from the sky showered waves of light,
the whisper of water-spurts resounds as before;
the song fell silent, lips are speechless,
like a sigh, a kiss rushed past...
