Maiwunder
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  FRE
Maikönig kommt gefahren
in seinem grüngoldnen Wagen
mit Saus und Gesinge.
Seine Zügel sind Sonnenstralen,
zwölf große blaue Schmetterlinge
ziehn ihn über Busch und Bach,
daß die weißen Blütenglocken
in seinen Locken
schwingen und springen,
und Hans kuckt ihm nach
und hört sein Lied:
Wer zieht mit? zieht mit?

Kommt das Maienweibchen,
trägt ein weißes Kleidchen,[14]
trägt ein grünes Kränzchen,
sagt zu unserm Hänschen:
Eia, Hans,
komm zum Tanz!
Einen Schritt Frau Nixe,
einen Schritt Herr Nix,
Ringeldireih, Ringeldireih,
Dienerchen,
Knix!

Confirmed with Paula Dehmel, Das liebe Nest, E. A. Seemann in Leipzig, 1919

Miracle de mai
Language: French (Français)  after the German (Deutsch)
Le roi de mai approche
sur sa voiture vert et or,
dans l'abondance et les chants.
Ses rênes sont les rayons du soleil,
douze grands papillons bleus
le tirent par-dessus buissons et ruisseaux,
et les blanches fleurs en clochette
dans ses cheveux
s'agitent et tressautent,
et Jean le regarde
et écoute sa chanson :
Qui vient ? qui vient?

La petite femme de mai arrive,
portant une petite robe blanche,
portant une petite couronne verte,
elle dit à notre Jeannot :
« Oh Jean,
viens danser ! »
Un pas dame ondine
un pas monsieur ondin,
En ribambelle, en ribambelle,
petit valet,
Knix !
