Es träumen die Wolken
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  CAT DUT ENG FRE ITA
Es träumen die Wolken,
Die Sterne, der Mond,
Die Bäume, die Vögel,
Die Blumen, der Strom.
Sie wiegen,
Und schmiegen
Sich tiefer zurück,
Zum thauigen Bette,
Zur ruhigen Stätte,
Zum heimlichen Glück.
Doch Blättergesäusel
Und Wellengekräusel
Verkünden Erwachen.
Denn ewig geschwinde,
Unruhige Winde,
Sie [stören und]1 fachen.

Erst schmeichelnde Regung,
Dann wilde Bewegung;
Und dehnende Räume
Verschlingen die Träume.

Im Busen, im reinen,
Bewahre die deinen;
Es ströme dein Blut:
Vor rasenden Stürmen
Besonnen zu schirmen
Die heilige Gluth.

Confirmed with Gedichte von Johann Mayrhofer. Wien. Bey Friedrich Volke. 1824, pages 118-119.

Notes:
In stanza 1, lines 8 and 9 are switched in the first pass but not in the repetition.
In stanza 1, line 16, the Schubert edition referred to as the Alte Gesamtausgabe erroneously changes "stören, sie" to "stöhnen, sie" (see footnote 1 below).

1 Schubert: "stören, sie"

Somien els núvols
Language: Catalan (Català)  after the German (Deutsch)
Somien els núvols,
les estrelles, la lluna,
els arbres, els ocells,
les flors, els rius,
es gronxen
i es vinclen
més pregonament,
vers llocs de calma,
vers llits de rosada,
vers una joia secreta.
Però el murmuri de les fulles,
l’encrespament de les ones,
proclamen el despertar;
car els vents eternament
virulents, sense repòs,
gemeguen i bufen,

primer amb un moviment falaguer,
després amb un impuls ferotge;
i els espais expandits
devoren els somnis.

Dins d’un cor pur
preserva els teus;
que corri la teva sang
enfront de violents tempestes
per protegir amb mesura
el foc sagrat.
