Somien els núvols,
les estrelles, la lluna,
els arbres, els ocells,
les flors, els rius,
es gronxen
i es vinclen
més pregonament,
vers llocs de calma,
vers llits de rosada,
vers una joia secreta.
Però el murmuri de les fulles,
l’encrespament de les ones,
proclamen el despertar;
car els vents eternament
virulents, sense repòs,
gemeguen i bufen,
primer amb un moviment falaguer,
després amb un impuls ferotge;
i els espais expandits
devoren els somnis.
Dins d’un cor pur
preserva els teus;
que corri la teva sang
enfront de violents tempestes
per protegir amb mesura
el foc sagrat.
