Czary
Language: Polish (Polski)
Available translation(s): ENG FRE GER
To są czary, pewno czary!
Coś dziwnego w tym się święci,
Dobrze mówi ojciec stary:
Robię, biegam bez pamięci.
W każdym miejscu, każdą dobą
Idę w lasy, czyli w jary:
Zawsze widzę ją przed sobą!
To są czary, pewno czary!
Czy pogoda sprawia ciszę,
Czy wiatr łamie drzew konary:
Zawsze, wszędzie głos jej słyszę!
O! To pewno, pewno czary!
W dzień się myślą przy niej stawię,
W nocy kształt jej biorą mary,
Ona przy mnie w snach, na jawie!
Jestem pewny, że to czary!
Gdy z nią śpiewam – czuję trwogę;
Gdy odejdzie – żal bez miary;
Chcę być wesół – i nie mogę!
Ani wątpić, że to czary!
Na to miłe słówko rzekła,
Przywabiła mię do domu,
By zdradziła, by urzekła!
Ufajże tu teraz komu!
Lecz czekajcie, mam ja radę!
Po miesiącu znajdę ziele:
A gdy zdradą spłacę zdradę –
Będzie, musi być wesele.

Witchcraft
Language: English  after the Polish (Polski)
This is witchcraft, surely witchcraft!
There is something strange about it
Old father was right about it
I do talk as if I lost my mind
In every place in every time
I go to forest into the trees,
I always see her in front of myself!
This is witchcraft, surely witchcraft!
When the weather's quiet
and when the wind breaks the trees,
Always, everywhere I hear her voice!
O! This is witchcraft, surely witchcraft!
During the day I think about her,
At night she takes shape in my dreams.
She's with me when I'm asleep and awake!
I'm sure that this is witchcraft!
When I sing with her, I fear.
When she's gone I'm miserable.
I try to be happy but I can't!
I can't doubt this is witchcraft!
She told me some nice words,
She lured me into the house,
She betrayed me and she charmed me!
How can I trust anybody now!
But wait, I have a solution,
After a month I'll find the herb.
When I repay the betrayal with the betrayal,
Then there will be, there must be a wedding.
