Als vogels ik aanschouw, Wens ik mezelf een vrouw; Kopjes geeft ieder stel In ieder boompje wel. Vogeltjes trouw Hebben een vrouw. Als visjes ik aanschouw, Wens ik ook zelf een vrouw; Waar ik ze gadesla, Zwemmen z’ elkander na. Elk visje, nou, Heeft wel een vrouw. Waar ik maar rond mij schouw, Overal man en vrouw, Delen plezier en pijn, Vinden zo ’t leven fijn, Ik val haast flauw, ‘k Wil ook een vrouw.
