Zum Vater der Natur sich schwingen,
Entzückung reißt mich hin!
Ich will dem Herrn lobsingen,
Durch den ich wurde, was ich bin!

O Gütigster! Denn wer ist gut,
Wie du, der allen Gutes thut?
Du sorgtest auch für mein Vergnügen,
Als aus dem großen Plan
Erstaunte Welten stiegen,
Und Sonnen sich geschaffen sahn.

Schön ist die Erde, wann sie blüht,
Und, ganz um unsre Lust bemüht,
Sich in des Frühlings Farben kleidet,
Und überall voll Pracht,
Selbst, wo die Heerde weidet,
In bunter Zierde düftend lacht:

Der Gottheit würdiger Altar,
Worauf das bluhmenreiche Jahr,
O Herr, zu deinem Wohlgefallen,
Sein süsses Rauchwerk bringt,

En la seva vestimenta resplendent
ens has enviat la primavera
i has entrellaçat roses a l’entorn del seu cap.
Somrient, amb encís, ella ja arriba!
La condueixen les hores,
oh Déu, damunt el seu tron florit.

Ella s’atansa als matossars i els fa florir;
fa retornar als camps la frescor del verd,
i als boscos creixen de nou les ombres,
el vent de ponent, acaronador, obre
les seves ales molles de rosada,
i tots els ocells canten alegres.

Amb el dolç ressò dels vostres cants,
oh ocells, el meu cant també
s’enlairarà vers el Pare de la natura,
se m’enduu l’encisament!
 Vull cantar lloances al Senyor,
gràcies a qui vaig esdevenir el que sóc!
