Ascoltando l'aria, Bartolo s'addormenta. Il Conte nel ritornello 
s'azzarda di prendere una mano di Rosina e di baciarla. 
L'emozione rallenta a Rosina la voce, che s'indebolisce 
e termina per mancarle in mezzo alla cadenza. L'orchestra 
segue il movimento della cantatrice e si tace.	
Alla mancanza del suono e del canto, Bartolo si risveglia 
e Rosina ripiglia l'aria.
