hviskar alltjemt i vårt hjertas vrå,
om man den stämman icke vill höra,
o, man hör den, man här den ändå!

Stundom i skymmande sommarnatten
ljuda i drömmen toner från förr,
susa som sång öfver stilla vatten,
klappa så sakta på hjertats dörr!
