Traum

Der Mondschein lag auf dem Wasser 
und eigen des Windes Gesang,
ein Lied wie die flehende Seele,
so traurig und tief war der Klang.

Ich hörte in ihm deine Stimme,
du sprachst mit unendlichem Weh
die Worte wie einst mir am Abend:
"du einzig Geliebte, Adieu!"

Da strahlte mir wonnig im Herzen
ein Traum von unendlichem Glück,
es schien mir als wolltest du sagen:
"bald komm' ich auf ewig zurück!"

Der Mondschein lag auf dem Wasser,
man hörte den Wind nun kaum,
auf tränenbefeuchtetem Kissen
erwacht' ich...es war nur ein Traum.

Geliebter, es können die Welten
des Tages mich trennen von dir,
mein Trost sind die herrlichen Nächte,
im Traume gehörst du ganz mir.

Somni

La llum de la lluna era damunt de l’aigua
i feia seva el cant del vent:
una cançó com l’ànima fervent,
amb un so trist i profund.

Vaig sentir-hi la teva veu,
deies amb dolor inacabable
les paraules que em digueres un vespre:
“Tu, la meva  única estimada, adéu!”

Llavors lluí deliciós en el cor
un somni de felicitat inacabable,
semblava com si em volguessis dir:
“Aviat tornaré eternament!”

La llum de la lluna era damunt de l’aigua,
a penes se sentia el vent,
en un coixí amarat de llàgrimes
em vaig despertar... només era un somni.

Estimada, els mons dels dies
poden separar-me de tu;
el meu consol són les nits meravelloses,
en somnis ets tota meva.
