Гой-ты, Днепр! Слушай, Днепр!
Днепр ты мой широкий, гой ты, Днепр глубокий!
Много ты крови казачьей
В дальнее море дальней дорогой носил,
Только-только ты моря не споил, ты не споил!
Сегодня дождешься, сегодня дождешься, широкий мой Днепр!
Сегодня от Бога Украйну ждёт праздник,
И праздник тот страшный, и много-много прольёт она крови,
Казак оживёт:
И встанут Гетманы в одеждах парчевых
И будет как прежде
Украйна жива;
И вдаль по степи, над курганами братьев,
На страх врагам заблестит булава;
И снова как споет не потайно,
Привольно и лихо споет про Украйну:
Свободна до моря, нет ляхов с жидами.
Днепр унёс их кости, кости вражьи, кровью шляхетской,
Кровью жидовской дальнее море он споил.
Стой, мой Днепр! слушай, Днепр!
Скоро ты дождешься, скоро ты уымёшься!
Стой, ты, Днепр!
Стой, глубокий Днепр!
