Сегодня дождешься, сегодня дождешься, широкий мой Днепр! Сегодня от Бога Украйну ждёт праздник, И праздник тот страшный, и много-много прольёт она крови, Казак оживёт: И встанут Гетманы в одеждах парчевых И будет как прежде Украйна жива; И вдаль по степи, над курганами братьев, На страх врагам заблестит булава; И снова как споет не потайно, Привольно и лихо споет про Украйну: Свободна до моря, нет ляхов с жидами.
