by Sándor Petőfi (1823 - 1849)
Translation by Aleksey Nikolayevich Pleshcheyev (1825 - 1893)

Step'ju idu ja unyloju
Language: Russian (Русский)  after the Hungarian (Magyar)
Step'ju idu ja unyloju,
net ni cvetočka na nej;
[Netu zelënogo dereva]1,
gde by mog spit solovej.

Mračno tak večer nasupilsja,
zvezd ni sleda v vyšine...
Sam ja ne znaju, čto vspomnilas'
vdrug v ėtu noru ty mne!

Vspomnilas', ty, moja milaja,
s krotkim [i jasnym licom]2...
Vižu tebja i, mne kažetsja,
mgla už redeet krugom:

i budto pesn' solov'inaja
v čašče zelenoj zvučit:
volny cvetov kolychajutsja,
v zvezdach vse nebo gorit...
