Zu dir ziagt's mi hin
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG
Zu dir ziagt's mi hin,
Wo i geh', wo i bin,
Hab' ka Rast und ka Ruah,
Bin a trauriga Bua.
Wann i d'Wölklan a bitt':
"Nehmts mi mit, nehmts mi mit
So fliag'n s' furt wia da Wind,
Lassen traurig mit hint'.

Und i waß no wia heunt:
Hat der Mond so schön g'scheint,
Bist no g'sessen bei mir,
Eh' i furt bin von dir.
Hast mi druckt bei da Hand,
Hast mir zagt weit ins Land,
Hast dei Kopferl an mi g'lahnt
Und hast bitterli g'want.

"B'hüat di Gott, liaba Bua,
Hast mir g'nomma mei Ruah,
Daß d'mei Alles bist g'west,
Siag i hiazt erst, weil'st gehst".
Wia s' mir das so hat g'sagt,
Hat's mir's Herz g'walti packt,
Hab' die Äuglan zuadruckt
Und a Träne verschluckt.

Bin gar weit umme g'rennt
In der Welt ohne End';
Ha di g'sucht her und hin,
Find' kei Dienderl meh, wie di;
Jedem Baum han i's g'sagt,
Jeden Bach han i g'fragt:
Wie's der geht und wie's der is,
Und ob du denkst no an mi g'wiß.

The sad boy
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
I feel drawn to you
Wherever I go, wherever I am
Have no rest, no peace
I am a sad boy.
When I asked the clouds:
"Take me with you"
They drew forth with the wind
And left me here unhappy.

And I still can feel it:
The moon shone so beautifully
You sat with me
Until I had to leave,
You pressed my hand
You led me far
And leaned your head against me
And wept bitterly

"May God protect you, dear boy
You deprived me of peace
You have become my all
I tell you now because you must go"
And when you said that
My heart beat heavily
I had to close my eyes
And swallow my tears.

I have travelled wide around
In the world without stop
I looked for you overall
But I find no girl like you
I talked to every tree
And asked every stream
"What has has become of you?
Do you still think of me?"
