Abschied vom Walde
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): CAT DUT ENG FRE
Nun scheidet vom sterbenden Walde
Der Wandrer mit Herz und Mund:
»Wie wardst du mir lieb so balde,
Was sangst du mir vor allstund!

Wohl wußt' ich deine Sprache,
Wohl kannt' ich deinen Sang,
Und will's an manchem Tage
Nachsingen trüb und bang.

Doch nun, o Wald, dein Rauschen,
Dein Brausen laß mir sein!
Nicht alles mag ich tauschen
Für Herbstes Melodein!«

Adéu al bosc
Language: Catalan (Català)  after the German (Deutsch)
Adés, del bosc morent, el caminant
pren comiat amb el seu cor i els seus llavis:
“Que de pressa vaig començar a estimar-te,
com cantaves tothora per a mi!

Jo entenia bé el teu llenguatge,
coneixia bé el teu cant,
i molts dies voldria encara
imitar-los, amb tristor i angoixa.

Però ara, oh bosc, la teva remor,
el teu brogit, em deixen de banda!
Per res no voldria canviar
les melodies de la tardor!”
