Žalo děvče, žalo trávu
nedaleko vinohradu.
Pán sa na ňu z okna dívá,
on si na ňu rukú kývá
"Širuj, kočí, širuj koně,
pojedeme v čiré pole."
Čiré pole projíždžali,
až sa k děvčati dostali.
"Daj nám, děvče, daj nám záloh,
žes na panském trávu žalo!"
Dávala jim svú plachtičku,
pán ju pojal za ručičku.
"Už si, děvče, už si moje,
líbí sa mně líčko tvoje.
Tobě moje a mně tvoje,
líbijá sa nám oboje."

hij nam zachtjes haar hand.
Mooi meisje, hou je van me,
Mooi meisje, je bevalt me, ik zal van je houden.
Je zult mijn heer zijn, ik je vrouw.
