Wohl ist er wunderbar,
Doch seh ich nur dein liebes Haupt,
Dein schönes, braunes Haar.
Die blauen Veilchen seh ich nicht,
Vor deinen Augen blau,
Zu Wald und Wiese geh ich nicht,
Ich geh zur "lieben Frau".
Und was ich bete, bist nur du,
Und was ich [denke: dein!]1
Und schließ ich spät die Augen zu,
Dein Bild dringt doch hinein.
Da steht's in aller Blumen Pracht,
Da steht's in Jugendgrün,
