"Ave Maria, madre di grazia!" Così cantavano gli angeli alla Vergine Maria in preghiera, interiormente affannata. "Maria, concepirai un figlio! Cielo e terra comandano che tu sia la madre del Signore". "O angeli, come ciò può avvenire? Non ho ancora incontrato uomo in questo largo e vasto mondo". Come la colomba scende sui fragili fiori, così scenderà su di te lo Spirito Santo, e da te nascerà il Salvatore. Maria, ascoltando lieta, disse: "Sono l'ancella del Signore, sia fatto di me secondo la tua parola". Gli angeli allora s'inginocchiarono, tutti cantavano l'inno di lode a Maria!
