Mutato è il vento, il cielo è annuvolato, più non andiamo a raccogliere, correndo, le rose più belle ed il lillà fiorito; triste è la primavera e non sta fiorendo. Oh! Dolce e gioiosa primavera del passato, che ci ha illuminato con il suo splendore, il nostro fiore d'amore è ormai tutto appassito, e il bacio tuo non lo può ridestare! E tu ora che fai? Senza più corolle dischiuse, né sole allegro, né ombrose frescure; il tempo dei lillà e il tempo delle rose per sempre è morto, come il nostro amore.
