Ein Schmeichelkätzchen nenn' ich mein; es glänzt sein Fell wie Seide fein, sein Köpfchen, das ist kugelrund; es putzt sich wohl zu jeder Stund', und Pfötchen hat es sammtig weich, und wenn man's kraut, dann schnurrt es gleich; und nur die kleinen Äugelein schau'n ein klein wenig falsch darein. Ist auch ein artig Schätzchen mein: das gleichet meinem Kätzelein, es ist so weich und fein und zart, so rund und [molliglieb]1 von Art; auch putzt sich's gerne für die Leut'; und schmeicheln kann's, ['s ist eine Freud']2!
