‎Usevshis` vazhno na osine,
‎Talanty' v muzy'ke svoi
‎Vy'kazy'vat` pustilas`;
‎Glyadit — vse proch` letyat,
Odni smeyutsya ej, a te eyo branyat.
‎Moya Kukushka ogorchilas`
I s zhaloboj na pticz k Orlu speshit ona.
«Pomiluj!» govorit: «po tvoemu velen`yu
‎Ya Solov`em v lesu zdes` nazvana;
‎A moemu smeyat`sya smeyut pen`yu!» —
«Moj drug!» Oryol v otvet: «ya czar`, no ya ne bog.
Nel`zya mne ot bedy' tvoej tebya izbavit`.
Kukushku Solov`em chestit` ya mog zastavit`;
No sdelat` Solov`em Kukushku ya ne mog».
